Let’s consider the stuation when we need to recover data from a 2.5 inch WD drive with a USB interface.?We have already changed the connection type from USB to SATA (using a compatible SATA PCB or SATA adapter), but when we start the?Marvell utility we see the?SED locked error.

How to work with such drives?
讓我們學(xué)習(xí)以下方法
Let’s study the following method.
注意：您的PC-3000版本應(yīng)不低于5.9.21！
NOTE: Your PC-3000 version should be not lower than 5.9.21 !
1.以?xún)?nèi)核模式啟動(dòng)驅(qū)動(dòng)器：把PCB與磁頭觸點(diǎn)隔離或?qū)CB的E47接地（在2060-771961-000 REV P1上測(cè)試）。狀態(tài)寄存器將關(guān)閉，ID不被檢測(cè)，但能自動(dòng)檢測(cè)到硬盤(pán)的家族。
1. Start the drive in Kernel mode: head isolation with connected spindle contacts?or short E47 PCB pin to the ground (tested on 2060-771961-000 REV P1). Status registers will be off, ID is not detected, but autodetect should work correct.
2.點(diǎn)擊Work with ROM->SA regions editor->Block SA access以阻止SA訪問(wèn)。
2. Follow Work with ROM->SA regions editor->Do it now…?button and Block SA access.
3.關(guān)閉驅(qū)動(dòng)器電源并取下隔離
3. Power the drive off and remove the isolation.
4.打開(kāi)驅(qū)動(dòng)器電源。
4. Power the drive on.
5.在內(nèi)核模式下啟動(dòng)實(shí)用程序，使用Work with RAM->Upload?dir into HDD RAM加載LDR到RAM。
5. Start the utility in Kernel mode, load DIR and loader into RAM using Work with RAM->Load DIR in RAM option.
從實(shí)用程序退出，進(jìn)入正常模式下。
Exit from utility, start the utility in Normal mode.
6.硬盤(pán)默認(rèn)的ID為XYZ

7. 使用ABA保存服務(wù)區(qū)模塊：

8.點(diǎn)擊Work with service area->Solve Slow responding problem,，由ABA執(zhí)行，選擇COPY0。

9.點(diǎn)擊Work with service area->Edit HDD ID，

轉(zhuǎn)到 Security subsystem選項(xiàng)卡，刪除SED復(fù)選框，按OK
go to Security subsystem tab, remove SED checkbox, press OK.
僅通過(guò)copy0執(zhí)行
Do it by copy 0 only
10.點(diǎn)擊Work with ROM->SA regions editor->Allow SA access，按OK。
10. Follow Work with ROM->SA regions editor->Allow SA access, press OK.
11.關(guān)閉再打開(kāi)硬盤(pán)電源，進(jìn)入WDC Marvell實(shí)用程序，驅(qū)動(dòng)器獲得完整的ID并可以訪問(wèn)SA區(qū)。
11. Power off\on the drive, enter in WDC Marvell utility, drive should start with full ID and SA access.
12.打開(kāi)Tools->Sector edit.。數(shù)據(jù)看起來(lái)加密。
12. Open Tools->Sector edit. Data looks encrypted.
13.點(diǎn)擊Reading options

并選中Decrypt data復(fù)選框，按OK
and set Decrypt data checkbox, press OK
14.自動(dòng)檢測(cè)加密類(lèi)型，選擇自加密硬盤(pán)，然后按OK
14. Autodetect the encryption type, choose Self encryption HDD and press OK.
15.打開(kāi)扇區(qū)編輯器檢查扇區(qū)是否真正解密。
15. Check if sectors are really decrypted in Sector edit.
16.在 Data Extractor中創(chuàng)建一個(gè)任務(wù)，轉(zhuǎn)到Settings->Command to read，選擇Decrypt復(fù)選框，重復(fù)使用加密類(lèi)型搜索的操作。
16. Create a task in Data Extractor, go to Settings->Command to read tab, choose Decrypt checkbox, repeat the actions with encryption type search.
17.讀取數(shù)據(jù)。
