What is the problem?

Seagate Self-Encrypting drives is blocking almost all techno commands. For example, Greanada drives with?part numbers 1ER162,1ER1624 and?1ER166 reply “Diagnostic Port Locked” to any terminal command. So you can’t build headmap, read and fix sys files etc.

我們?cè)赗OM上做了一個(gè)特殊的添加，可以在運(yùn)行微代碼的時(shí)候捕捉到控制和解鎖技術(shù)的模式。
We made a special addition to ROM which is able to catch the control and unlock techno mode at moment of running microcode from surface.

通過(guò)簡(jiǎn)單按下按鈕可以分兩步進(jìn)行解鎖
Unlocking is performed in two stages with a simple press of button

階段1.驅(qū)動(dòng)器的準(zhǔn)備：ROM補(bǔ)丁
Stage 1. Preparation of the drive: ROM patch?

階段2.解鎖驅(qū)動(dòng)器：發(fā)送一個(gè)特殊的會(huì)話密鑰
Stage 2. Unlocking the drive: sending a special?session key

第一個(gè)按鈕（Tech mode unlocking preparation, Grenada”）通過(guò)啟動(dòng)代碼保存ROM，修改它并將修改后的寫(xiě)回HDD。第二個(gè)按鈕（“Unclock Tech, drive prepared by utility”）在終端命令終止后，發(fā)送一個(gè)特殊命令來(lái)解鎖techno模式。
First button (“Tech mode unlocking preparation, Grenada”) save the ROM via boot code , modify it and write modified image back to HDD. Second button (“Unclock Tech, drive prepared by utility”) send a special command to unlock techno mode. After that terminal commands become working:
